Rubie is not just any Creative Tonie. She is the iconic, red tonies® brand mascot who embodies storytelling, creativity, and self-expression. Rubie comes pre-loaded with a magical 25-minute story full of imaginary characters and adventures that begin and end in her playroom, transporting little listeners throughout the Tonieverse.

The choice is yours: Listeners can keep Rubie's pre-loaded story, or completely customise her! As a Creative Tonie, Rubie has 90 minutes of space for you to record your own custom stories, songs, and audio messages. Beyond your own recordings, you can also explore the tonies® app to download a wide variety of free audio content directly to your Tonie!

It couldn’t be easier for them to choose what to listen to – they just pop a Tonie on top and the next adventure begins. Small enough to slip into a backpack and simple to use, Toniebox Lite is built for little lives on the move. And when the day is done, the sleep timer feature helps make winding down easier.

Total pre-loaded runtime: 25 minutes
(Note: Can be repurposed for up to 90 minutes of custom audio).

FAQs

Answers to your most common questions.

What age is Toniebox Lite aimed at?

It’s a great fit for any kid aged 1-12.

Will all Tonies work on Toniebox Lite?

Yes. If you already own any Tonies, they'll work with the Toniebox Lite in exactly the same way as any other Toniebox. Just a heads up that Tonieplay games aren't compatible though. If you want to play Tonieplay games, you'll need a Toniebox 2.

What's the difference between Toniebox Lite and Toniebox 2?

Toniebox Lite is our smaller audio player, which was made for easy listening. It works with all Tonies, has a sleep timer, connects to Bluetooth headphones and charges in the same way. The Toniebox 2 does everything the Toniebox Lite does, but gives kids even more ways to listen, play and explore. It can play Tonieplay games, has a dynamic light ring that doubles up as a night light, and comes with a squishy exterior.

How big is Toniebox Lite and how heavy is it?

It’s small but mighty and easy for little hands to carry around.

Dimensions: approximately 4 x 4 x 4.1 inches (including the ears!)

Weight: less than 11 ounces

What charger do I need for Toniebox Lite?

A certified USB-C cable will do the trick

What type of battery does Toniebox Lite have?

It's powered by a 4 Ah Lithium iron phosphate battery (also called LiFePo4). These batteries are highly durable, known for exceptional safety, ultra-fast charging, and a long lifespan.

Does Tonieplay work with Toniebox Lite?

No. The Toniebox Lite is a more compact player, so isn't compatible with Tonieplay. If you want to play Tonieplay games, you'll need a Toniebox 2.

Can I travel with Toniebox Lite on a plane?

Yes, you can. Just be aware that because of the lithium battery, airline safety regulations need it to be packed in your carry-on luggage rather than your checked in bags. It's the same story with a Toniebox 1 and 2. Oh, and a quick tip before you head off: make sure your Tonies are fully downloaded (look for that solid green light) before you leave home Wi-Fi!

Why isn’t a charging cable included with Toniebox Lite?

The Toniebox Lite requires a standard USB-C cable. You can use any certified cable you probably already have at home. To ensure you use the correct cable, more details are available in the Warnings & Safety section of the Toniebox Lite manual.
